My Entry for the Illamasqua+ MizzWorthy Contest

The Satyr

My inspiration comes from the Greek mythology. Satyrs were creatures related to God Dionysus who, in most art representations, were a combination of men and goat. They liked women and dance. They appeared to be ugly old men but later artists presented them more youthful and good looking. My creation is all about showing the ugly side of these creatures. Intense features and hallow cheeks is what I thought would represent them best. My creation is not only about these little 'devils' but also about how woman figure can transform into something dark and unfamiliar. I didn't see any photos to create my look, I just thought of how, in my opinion, such a creature would look like if it were to be 'made up' with makeup. I didn't use any prosthetics and all the colors used are from the 120 colors manly palette.
